Lake Hiawatha Minneapolis - Minneapolis
Join us on the evening of Wednesday, June 4th for a fun Fishing Around Town event at Lake Hiawatha in Minneapolis!
Ample parking is available on both sides of 28th Avenue and also at the north end of the lake on several residential streets.
We’ll meet on the north end of the lake near the Rec Center building. You can wade or shore fish, or bring your own float tube, canoe or kayak. Near the Rec Center is a canoe launch of sorts, but the beach on the east side of the lake also provides good access for boats/tubes and is an entry for wading as well.
Possible fish include crappie, bluegill, sunfish, largemouth bass, northern pike, perch, with bluegill and bass being most likely.
Recommended flies: poppers, wooly buggers, hoppers/foam bugs, streamers, minnow patterns (larger baitfish patterns for pike) and larger nymphs.
This event is for ALL skill levels and is a great way to meet other members. We can
